Hi gang!

I've managed to convince my missus to move her exotic goldfish out of "MY" 5ft tank in the dining room and put them in one of my 4fters in the fishroom (hahahaha!). So I will be setting up a 5ft display tank soon. My thoughts would be a Malawi display tank with some colourful males only. I plan to have about 20-30 fish in there. Tank is 5x18x18 and filtration is 2x Eheim 2217....so decent space and filtration! smile.gif

Thoughts?

Cheers!
Kevin

kev what about some heavy caving in the lower 8 inches with sand stone shelving (mentioned in the pm i sent you) in the back half of the tank with a varienty of colourful mbuna; then something like phenochillus, anectans or electra cruising and sifting the open water at the bottom; then the water in the upper 10 inch column with some cruisers like dimi comps, red empress males, taiwan reef males, lithobates and a few peacocks...just a thought...just thoughts...have fun mate...sounds like a great way to spend some time and money...nice one missus!! danny

The rocks are Basalt/Granite. Inert no buffering capacity.

They make for a very nice Mbuna theme.

There seems to be a higher demand for tropheus at the moment, maybe get some of the rarer/nicer looking ones that are harder to come by and more expensive than the common stuff.
Do your thing and breed em and get em out there more smile.gif

It's my choice of fish.

If you want 500 guppies in a 5ft tank, then buy the tank and do so! tongue.gif

BIG Kev, its a BIG mistake mate, YOUR fish room is now yours and hers ohmy.gif , you should have left her gold fish in the dining room mate, its very very close to the kitchen where she should be Rofl_3f.gif

Bahaha put 3 guppies in there and it'll be 500 in a year anyway...

Have you built a shortlist of fish you like Kev?
