atm were playing a game of guess the fish and im stuck.
the clues so far,
live in both fresh and salt water
live in both rivers and lakes
grow over 15cm
dont have scales
seasonal breeder
aust native
only found in WA..................
i have spots
im schooling
not fished for
not good eating
more than one colour
and im not,leather jacket,lung fish,puffer,galaxias,perch, cod,scat.
so put the thinkin caps on and see what you can come up with.

Besides the obvious choices of perch, gudgeons and galaxias, I would say:

Freshwater Cobbler....Tandanus bostocki or
Nightfish....Bostockia porosa

I would lean towards the nightfish!

what happened was ,earlier in the game i asked was it a galaxias brevipinnis and the answer was no, so i thought i might have been barking up the wrong tree and took it as a no to all galaxias.
anyway the fat lady has sung and now we're onto a new one ,so if its a fish from WA i will be sure to be in touch.

thanks all
