I just wanted to point out that every time someone posts a tank for sale in the classifieds without a doubt they get a reply saying "can I buy the light seperately".

Personally I need more lights and I'm always thinking the same thing cause I don't wanna go out and buy brand new ones. They're overpriced anyway.

I don't really think theres a shortage I think theres just a lot of people out there wanting to get their hands on second hand lights.

Just thought it was kind of funny anyway...:\

Plus some ppl (wont name, *ahem* :p ) ask in about 10 posts at the same time.

You'd think as many lights as setups were sold wouldnt u :p

I don't know guys, maybe you should just bite the bullet and buy a new light from a shop :good

Either that or have you guys tried the online aquarium goods suppliers?

how about a 4ft single PVC reflector for $77?

Stop being so stingey and just go and buy a light :lol ;)
You can pickup a 4ft fitting from Bunnings, then either make a simple frame for it with skirting or box gutter. Cheap and easy.

Hi,
I just bought a plain 4 ft double from bunnings without a cord or reflector(easy to do yourself) and also a grolux and a sylvania aquastar it cost me about $60 all up. Lights from lamp replacements in balcata i think. So $130 for a double with swithes and reflectors aint bad.
