Snakehead Gudgeon Fungus

Hey guys,
I recently got a Snakehead Gudgeon (2 days ago)
This morning I’ve discovered that it has developed a fungus across its body. Yesterday it seemed fine, wasnt eating but was interested
Its now in a 1ft quarantine tank - Bit late but hoping nothing will spread to the other fish, and that way I can treat it easier.
Currently I’m not 100% sure how to treat.. I’ve dosed the 1ft with Furan-2 but unsure if I should use anything else or different?
Help appreciated

Did this really happen just overnight? If so, it is almost certainly of primarily bacterial origin, with a likely secondary fungal infection. The Furan-2 should handle the bacterial component, but will have little or no effect on a fungal component. This will necessitate treatment with a more or less specific anti-fungal such as Melafix. i would wait until the lesions showed evidence of healing before I added an anti-fungal treatment.
Of interest is the reason for the infection, In the absence of trauma from some cause, I would be looking hard at water parameters.

The Gudgeon was being beaten up by the owners other fish hence selling it
Was under the impression that this much happened overnight but looking at a photo from yesterday there's small signs of it on the fins which I never noticed. Very small however, stupid. has grown like crazy overnight however
Will get some melafix (Pimafix??) in there later.
Thanks Sydad

Confirms fungus then.
Yes, but did not exclude bacterial infection, and this was the more likely to cause fatality.
