Wondering if Alto's are around in WA?
I am interested in breeding them and hence trying to figure the best way to get them spawning. However, if they are not common then I guess there wont be much info here on them.
Thanks

Hey Jason,
Certainly seen them around, the calvus blacks were the club's fish of the month a few months back. I was in aquotix a few days ago and they had some juvie blacks in stock and maybe a second kind (can't remember). I found looking through the club's auctions to be a good way to see what people are breeding and of course looking through aquotix, vebas, pet magic (the better LFS's in perth imo) etc.
Links to the months that had auctions are below, scroll past all the info to see the list of lots

Thanks Mutley.
I am interested in figuring out how to get them spawning easily. I've kept them before but had lots of losses - these are not an easy fish to acclimate. One thing I came across in my reading is that they are VERY sensitive to water temperature differences when doing water changes.I never knew that. I'll be watching out for it this time around though.
