scaling it maybe fuggers? any fisherman will know that when scaling a fish (especially small fish) the scales magically appear everywhere afterwards, hair and face is quite common after scaling a good sized catch :P

I usually try scale gardies in a flat tray underwater. I aim for about a cm or 2 of water to cover the fishes body and the scales usually end up in less places than expected

I doubt the scale is still in your eye, it has probably scratched the surface of your eye which can be rather uncomfortable.

dont scale gardies that way -> grip your hand around gardie head and pull backwards over the fish and scales come off... :) sounded bit more like something else you do when you're a young fella lol :)

Wash wash wash. If you feel something is still in there, it very likely isn't, and it's just residual irritation.

Also, they have an insane number of fine bones. Filleting the way to go IMO.

It's out from dunking my head in water, the eyelid was bulging and it felt like it was still in there! All good!

Sent from my iPhone usin
