G'day

Haven't seen any Aussie bass around for a long time, years in fact. Not that I have had my eye out for them.

My experience with them is limited. I kept a single specimen about 5 years ago. Was around 35-40cm from memory. No real dramas keeping them, nice clean water and plenty of food. Mine would sit almost motionless around some driftwood I had in the tank for hours at a time, then spring to life at feeding time. These things are great at feeding time, expect to get wet. Fed mine on whole prawns and whitebait.

Good luck on finding some, great fish. Just make sure you have a decent size tank, a 6x2x2 should suffice.

Alex
