I have a house that backs onto two beautiful lakes. I am just wondering how you would be able to get permission and help to stock it with natives. Hope this isn't a stupid question?

might sound stupid but its prob already stocked with goldfish and koi 
oh and gambusia that were introduced by the government... now they are declared noxious...

Generally releasing fish is a bit of a no no even if they are native because of any diseases they may have picked up while being cohabitated with other species in aquariums, etc.
