After waiting for the police to arrive, the couple got tired of waiting and got into their car and started to take off. Az and fellow collegue attempted to stop them. This is the pic I got
In the end after obtaining their details they took off, hopefully justice will be served
Crime doesnt pay guys, if you cant afford the pet stuff for your pets then dont keep them

I hope those theives didnt get thirsty waiting in their hot car for the police to arrive Azza or you and the police force could probably get sued!
I once caught a thief red handed who stole my friends little brothers bike, I grabbed him and called the cops, we presented the cops with the receipt for the bike which has the matching serial number and I was holding the theif by his shirt, the cops didnt seem to know what to do, they appeared to be completely untrained in how to deal with the situation, it seemed fairly simple to me, arrest the guy. They told me to let him go, I will never call the cops again if a catch a thief, I will take care of it myself next time.

I agree with you Den what a comment to make about those who steal petrol open slather on servos now. Kinda reminds you of a story of 5 cops shooting and killing a 16 year old for brandishing a couple of knifes, they will make the cops out to be heros. i wonder what would happen if I did that to someone stealing in my house and brandishing my knifes, would it be ok for me to shoot them, I don't thinks so....
Either they are over the top as in NSW (no brains or idea) or in WA, its just wait a while
