If you were to buy one of the three LED lights below, which one would you get?
ISTA LED - http://www.aquariumo...it-150cm-white/
Up Aqua Z series - http://www.aquariumg...-light-aus-plug
Up Aqua U Series - http://www.thetechde...-led-u-p-50.htm

I bought the Ista 5ft from Aquotix a few months ago - quite happy with it so far.
They had them on special 2 for $410 approx.
Last time I was in I didn't see any on the shelves tho.
I have the 5ft on 6ft by 18" deep tanks.
no plants tho, but getting algae growth for the T's.
they say they are ok on 2ft deep tanks.
the runners that support the light can be clamped, and then you can tilt the light for tank access.
didn't suit me as the tanks are 6ft so I siliconed some aluminium strip on the two braces and use that as runners for the light supports - can clamp it if I want. Works a treat.
They are nice and slim too, so would go under a hood I think.

"Kessil tuna sun " not bad
And" fluval led" is good too
I've heard good things about kessil, but out of my price range for what I'm chasing
I think Fluval LED only go up to 4 foot?

Yep I went halves with someone on that group buy deal they had.
See link here --> http://www.perthcich...showtopic=59255
Wish I got 2, but couldn't afford it at the time. I think they are out of stock at the moment, but I'm not in a rush
The tank I have one 5 foot unit on does penetrate to 2 feet deep. Good for growing anything easy like crypts, swords, anubias etc.

Looking at that ad, it looks like they won't post that light unit to Perth. No worries, as I'm sure I can get locally (which I prefer, especially if there are warranty issues etc.)

The LED you linked to Lex is a US power supply 110v, it'll blow if you plug it into Aussie power without a step down transformer
I'm digging the Aqua one Eco Glow leds, currently running a plant gro on my 6ft and love it!
Aquatopia are making some pretty nice leds these days as well
Can't comment on the ones you've named there Jason, never used em before

Turns out that Aquotix will be getting another delivery of the 5 foot ISTA LED lights, so I'll get another one of them.
I currently have a 1.5ft, 2ft, and 5ft LED running on other tanks. Will stick with ISTA for this purchase
Cheers everyone for your advice
