I mean "ended up"....no more...apart from the 2 x 4ft, 2 x 5ft and 2 x 6ft's indoors.
No more tanks, but learning new things every day.
Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Nothing is automated although I have recently removed the sumps from the bank of tanks & designed a system that allows for easier water changes.
All the softwater tanks (Apisto's & Cory's etc) get a 10% weekly W/C.
The Cichlids get a 30% W/C every 2 weeks...hopefully
All the fry tanks usually get a 10% every day or 2.

Thats awsome col,
how many tanks have you in total & how big is the fish room,
is it a insulated double carport?

The 5m x 3m fish house is built inside the garage. 2 walls are single brick with 10cm poly of insulation added. The other 2 walls are 16mm chipboard, with 5cm x 5cm studwork & 16mm chipboard packed with 5cm of poly foam which was sealed with "no more gaps" to make it airtight. The ceiling is about 10cm of Poly foam . I measured Lyn's car width & then made the fish house as big as I possibly could. . Currently trying to get Lyn to sell her car so we can make the fish house bigger.
We updated our fish database last week. Did we get a surprise
We now have a total of 101 different species which include, Malawi, Tanganyikan, Victorian, Apisto's, Cory's, Rainbows & many species in the 5ft planted tank.
The lowest it got to last winter was 24C with just a heater in a couple of tanks.
We do not have any expensive fish, mainly "run of the mill" species, but still beautiful all the same.
Got to go now, as there is work to do...as always.

Wow,
thats a fair bit of work to look after, ill get there again one day!
7 and still growing.
If Lyn gets a motorbike, think of the size you could make the fishroom then!

I lied, Lyn has just made me buy another 72x18x18 for another colony of Tropheus.
Thanks for all the comments.

Mind sharing with us how much electricity you have to pay to keep all those tanks running?
Cheers
Kevin.
