Heya

Come across this DIY article at www.cichlid-forum.com and thought that it would be interesting to give it a go. Was wondering if anyone had already tried it or was using it successfully?

Anyway the link is here.

www.cichlid-forum.com/art...g_jets.php

Getting the bits and pieces now.
Regards

BT

I have a standard undergravel filter that has a small powerhead rescued from an old Internal filter attached to it to circulate water instead of air.... works a treat!

I tried setting one of these up but it didn't work too well for me, although I didn't ever try to mess around with it a bit more to get it to work properly. From what I've heard if you fiddle with it and set it up properly it will work and you may even never have to vacuum gravel again!

But mine failed first try so I gave up on it :rollin

seems to me the theory behid it is to keep the water churning in every part of the tank so the debri cant settle on the bottom, this seems to save some effort in cleaning, but hardly leaves your fish a place to rest.i prefer to vacume my gravel.
