Not alot of chance to add my 2nd rack yet... but picked up some LED light strips and will put them in soon.

the LED's came already wired and glued into these little holder things, 20xbays/holders x3LED's per, and all wired.

To make them manageable i found some cheap skirting boards (i think?) and screwed them on.... until it got to fiddly and annoying and went and bought a hot glue gun....

Have you got a power supply for them yet?
How bright are they?
No blue tinge this time?

yeah i got a 9a? transformer from Altronics... probably got ripped but ohwell biggrin.gif

its more a white light no blue to them.

they are quite bright, two strips will light a tank really well... i went for 3 per anyway tongue.gif

Yeah, I could have gotten it cheaper for you. Payback for the pvc fitting tongue.gif

Know what current draw is on them yet?
If not, bring one to the next meeting and I'll do a reading for you.

yeah not sure on the draw... a gizmo we have at home says 1x strip (60xLED) @ 18c/KW = 1c cost per 20 - 22hrs of usage... maybe you can work backwards from that and work out the draw per LED biggrin.gif
