Some batches I've lost 100% in less than a week but about 90% over all - I found a yabbie I hadn't seen for years and maybe he had a meal of em but it's in all ponds and there are 9 spread out all over the back yard so don't think he could have got to them all. The only living things in the ponds are Pygmy Perch. Dragon fly are supposed to eat them but can't see they could catch and eat them all in such a short time. When they get to a half decent size they make it through to a frog. It seems to have gotten worse each year. Any suggestions??? thanks mal

Maybe you need to set up a motion camera and you might find the culprit?

could be there just dying off. to much heat not enough shaded area? food competition?
pymy perch wouldn't eat them, and I doubt a single yabby would wipe out entire amounts, maybe some birds?
My dog tries to catch the koi in our pond haha, you got a dog?

No Ferts - poison
big lilly in 3500 pond covers about half of pond and none in there at all and had about 3 spawns - half day shade but arvo sun - had heaps other years
got 2 dogs but never have shown any interest
thanks but have heaps of adults - unless they are Slender tree frogs - my M/b's have disappeared until next July / August when they jump straight into spawning again
never seen a bird but if they only come at night who knows
could be frogs I spose and was really my only thought
thanks guys - if it's frogs there is nothing I can do........mal
