For awhile now i have been hearing ticking sounds coming from my tank and have assumed

that I must have either a pistol shrimp or a mantis, well last night I saw him.... so cool

little tiny tiger pistol shrimp, for ages I could have sworn the sand under the rock was being

moved and it was so now I want a goby but has to be a baby hopefully I can find one.

Careful not all goby's have a symbiotic relationship with these type of shrimp, be sure to get one that is know to pair up with the pistols.

Mr Leif Beaver it is a beautiful symbiotic relationship whereby the Goby lives in the shrimps burrow and alerts the shrimp to any danger whilst it is burrowing. The shrimp in turn receives little bits of food that spills from the Gobies mouth when it grabs something that passes by.

Good Ol' David covered a great example of it in the Trials Of Life, my most treasured possession is the signed VHS Copy that I have.
