Your not twenty anymore, i to played a lot of sport when i was younger but i retired at the grand old age of 24. I'm a believer that when you retire you should stay retired, your body will thankyou for it in the end.

Same deal for me though, I moved to Perth and stopped playing rugby. Tried to get back into it after a few years, but the body just couldnt handle it. Backs gone, ankles shot, etc.

I started playing squash at 30.
The sore joints go away eventually. Now I'm addicted to it.
Also started training for my first ever half marathon in this years city to surf, I'm up to 14km non-stop running now, at this rate I might be able to run the full marathon hopefully.
When I was 20 you couldn't get me to do any sort of sport.
There's two 70 year olds that play squash every Tuesday night where I play, I reckon they would give me a run.
Never too old

at the age of 30 i discovered working out (weights, gym, running)
i loved it...trained 5 days a week straight and then on the 6th day rest and start the program on the 7th
very stricted program...each day broken down to different muscle groups..running 5kms as a warm up every day except after legs day.
then the diet...eating clean...no junk food..protein shakes...the list goes on
i would run in all the major events...citytosurf,hbf run for reason...loved it...but a big part of it was living with injuries...there was hardly ever a time when i wasnt nursing some sort of injuy,my shins would feel like they were on fire when i got around the 10kms.
when you push your body that far you will find out that your body has limits....but you learn a lot about yourself and the rewards are great...fitness,strength,Discipline,positive atitude all these things come from pushing yourself
i dont think there is suck a thing as a fit sportsman or women they learn to work around there issues.
sorry for the long post.
