If its the shop I'm assuming it is than I agree I wouldn't recommend buying from them. Just compare the quality to whats across the road.

I'm really keen to check out "the shop across the road". Can someone give me a clue as to where it is? Suburb? lol

The shop over the road is Malaga Aquariums, the guys there actually know what they are talking about.
The PCS didn't contact the RSPCA I did.
Cheers Snowy

Are we talking about Malaga Aquariums?
Well, here's my opinion on them.
I'm only new to Perth (just over 3mths) and I reckon Malaga is one of my favourite stores for freshwater aquarium supplies/fish. The range is quite decent, prices are good, staff are helpful & friendly. I've been to about 7 fish stores (NOR) and I must say Malaga Aquarium is one of the top 3. Other great ones are Aquarium City & Midland Pets (where Aaron (Aquatic_Dream) works, not sure if thats NOR though.. lol ).
Cheers!
Kevin.

but then u think, what was the fish sold to them as? some times ppl make the wrong decision if they are ordering online as alot of fish stores do.. u see when ordering online u dont get a picture of the exact fish yourgetting
If this was the case then they would've had every opportunity to return the fish to the supplier or choose not to sell them. Alternatively they could just pleade ignorance, say they didn't know enough about the fish and just sell it. I think the main purpose of this thread is not to target the store in question but to discourage the sale of these fish or at least educate people as to what they are buying and what the fish may have been put through.

PS. as for the comment about docking dogs.. in some cases its better. as ive had two ( 1 docked one not) of the same breed where the undocked chewed itstailto the point it becam infected and had to be removed anyway.
some things we do that seem cruel are actually to be kind.

Does your dog still have its legs? Might as well lop them off too because they may become infected also from excessive chewing. Sorry but that has to be said as your reasoning isn't logical.....
BTW a small hint try using the Shift key on your keyboard once in a while
