One of my mates got some from over east but the seller only had 5 but after a lot of begging and nagging my mate sold me 1 little guy about 6 cm

he wasnt to sure about me and my phone.... just kept moving and looking at me and then on the last one decided to try and hide.. not many places for a fish of his size to hide lol

The bocourti are great looking fish, one of my favourites so good to hear they're still around
Ps polleni are cool fish too but from Madagascar rather than American. Sorry if I'm being pedantic

Oh and yes they are too from Madagascar, I keep forgetting that haha they fit in so well with Americans though, can't ever see myself keeping them with African cichlids long term but at the moment they are only little nippers about 6cm so they are growing out with x6 C. Moori's in a 4x18x18

when i turn those tank lights off he glows like a mofo... soon as those tank lights come on he drops his colour lol i might take a pic with the tank lights off next time and get him when his colour is better

i took some photos of him again today when i got home to show the difference without turning the tank lights on.. When there has just been natural light all day his colour is pretty damn good imo
yeah and sorry about the second pic i know it is a bit distant but when i try and take a pic he faces me and i struggle to get a side on pic haha
