Not much to say about Fossies actually. They are a large Hap that get to about 12" full size for a male. Stunning fish that is very peaceful and can be kept with other fish without too many hassles. They start breeding at around the 5" mark, have huge mouthfuls and are very good parents. They will require lots of food and tank space to reach their full potential but are quite easy to look after and keep. They usually dig a pit for spawning if substrate allows and two males to 4 or 5 females is usually a good ratio and only get territorial at breeding time. Some males can be late bloomers and often don't show male colouration till they get to about 7-8" in length. They are notorious substrate sifters in the wild and are usually followed by schools of C.moorii.

The info from Anita is spot-on.

They are a great fish with plenty of personality, very peacfull personality, that share their tank pretty well.

What sort of info/help do you require??
