Yeah, it definitely brightned up the aquarium. I was previously relying on an 120cm ISTA LED (which I bought at the same time, about 4 years ago) as the main light source, and though it's held up well for years and gives ample light to scare away catfish, the diffference in light intensity compared with the repaired Dalua SS Freshwater is significant. I also noticed some false pearling after today's water change, which didn't happen when I was just running the ISTA.
I'd recommend the Duala if you want your plants to grow a bit more, and the moonlight mode is nice for getting a peek of any catfish you rarely see during the daylight. Though my email to Dalua went unanswered, it's still a good unit, and if you buy it from somewhere like Aquotix, they'll look after you

Big shout out and a thousand thanks to the Aquotix team. Took my light in yesterday, and today it's back and bright over my aquarium. Very happy with the speedy and professional service

Synodontis decorus throwing down the "FEED ME" stare while a synodotis petricola looks for scraps.

Looks like I'm taking goldie home to hospitalise. They offered to pay for the medicine, but I told 'em to put it toward buying a bigger aquarium. I said I'd replace it if it dies, though I'm inclined to just say it did, put it in my pond and replace it with something more suitable

How am I supposed to choose just one?
Latest acquisition was a synodontis decorus from Jules, which he got from Spilo. It was larger than expected when I picked it up, but it's chill as, and hasn't eaten any of my smaller fish at all.

My male BNs butt heads often enough fighting over the single female. It's never gotten so bad I've had to separate them tho.

I don't pay to read world news, I don't pay to watch videos, I don't pay to listen to music, I don't pay to get sports updates, I'm not going to pay to read about my fish hobby.
If you aren't spending enough over the year at our sponsors to cover the cost of membership through the PCS discount, you aren't really into fish.

Sand is great for catfish whiskers, but not the best for plants. In my current build I created zones for sand and gravel.
