Remind me again....... no license required if you have customary fishing rights aligned to the area you were fishing in. It's not a state wide free for all is it?

Don't know if the rules have changed since I spoke to the fisheries a few years ago, but they said I didn't need any fishing license at all for freshwater. They just gave me a brochure thing explaining the deal and said if I should get asked for a license show them this, show them the gear and I'll be right.

I don't hardly go fishing anymore anyway and when I do I always stick to bag limits, size restrictions, seasons ect.

Turns out being in the bush is trespassing on crown land, hundreds of acres of bush around and you can't even go in there... It's complete bs... So I got charged with attempting to catch fish, trespassing on crown land, off-road driving and allowing a dog in the area lol. I didn't have money for a good lawyer so they charged me pretty easily. I was only trying to stay out of trouble being out there no one else around. And I was only trying to get a couple of Redfin and maybe a catfish.

So there I was getting a criminal record for going fishing, and yet this cop goes through a red light and kills an innocent person and walks out "not guilty"
