Hrmmm .. chat ... haha and here I thought my IRC days were over tongue.gif ...mitergreen, reckon PSC would mind PCS slipping in alongside them? tongue.gif tongue.gif

Anyway.. I think it would be a good thing and dont think it would kill off the forums. Although I don't think it should be promoted as a tool for seeking/recieving help but rather as a general chit chat / off the wall sort of thing.. Not so much because of it stopping people posting for help, but because of it then being overrun with random people joining (the 3 month thing could help here...) and jumping in with "PLZ HEL P ME MY BRISTLENOSE ARE ALL DYING?!??!!?!?!??!?!?!?!!??!!?!?!?! EVERYTHING IS FINE IWTH THE TANK BUT THEY ARE STILL DYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" again and again..

PCS committee might want to check out this Chat Room software: http://www.parachat.com/

I might be able to help sponsor the "paid services" on Parachat... Will discuss once PCS committee decides what to do etc...

Cheers!
Kevin

We'll look into it guys. It'll have to put into our Test Area first then get approval from the committee.

When viewing the forum where would you want the chat window to appear? On the same page (top, bottom etc) or as a seperate window so it doesn't clog things up?

On the Mitsubishi forum, they have a separate window that's pops open. That does make life easier as I can search through the forums as well as have the chat window open.

Yes definitely agree with the above. Should be only used as a chat room, not a help classifieds forum.

There might be plenty of arcade sites around, just as there are plenty of forums with a chat room/shout box. But an arcade section would be better to have fun along with a laugh and to challenge the rest of the community then to struggle to get a word in while trying to catch up and string together the flurry of words flying about. smile.gif ( Kinda like a vents server loaded with players all trying to talk at the same time).

Hey Az

It's on the admin's list to source, implement, test etc. There's a few other things in the pipeline too like skins which you've been hanging out for, is just a matter of where we allocate most of our man hours wink.gif
