ok thanks dr pat, I'm gonna have to buy a fancy thermometer now because sides are 10mm. Any idea where's the best place to buy one?

I collected the tank today, and here are a couple of photos:

I'm not going to put water in it until next week some time.

Looks awesome man hey where did you get that back ground???

Looking really good man. Still haven't moved that heater I see smile.gif. Couple large fake plants in each corner to hide the pipes would work a treat.
Cheers.

Looks great!

Tropheus will help add some movement to the tank.

Thanks for the comments guys. You know me Ray, I'm set in my ways. I might eventually move the heater.... eventually. I don't usually like the look of fake plants in a display tank. But I really like the pics of Mattymak's tank. Hopefully I can get 10 Tropheus dubs soon.

Thanks Scotty, Waruna, and Anka. I took a video with my mobile phone yesterday of my black calvus fighting. Looks pretty cool. A few of the fish are getting pretty agressive of late. It's pretty cool to watch. At the end of the video, you can hear my little girl make some loud groan. Sounds pretty funny.

This is why I luv Tangs. Their personality and they way they interact is totally different to Malawis.

too true Dazza. I must point out though that it cost me an absolute packet to stock this tank with tanganyikan cichlids. the mrs really likes malawi cichlids more, and I was originally deciding whether to stock the tank with tropheus or electric yellows and cobalt blues. I initially regretted getting tangs to start with, as they were pretty boring to watch at first. They're al growing nicely though, and I love watching them playing around all day. I fed the fish some big thera+a pellets before taking this video tonight, as the fish tend to fight over the stuff. I feed bigger pellets than what is required, as the fish tend to like them better than the finer pellets. Work that out? This is why the tank looks cloudy. Enjoy
