Scientific Name: Melanochromis sp. 'northern blue'
Pronunciation: Melen-o-chro-mis Species Northern Blue
Trade Name(s): Northern Blue
Distribution: Lupingu, Nkanda & Lundu
Habitat: Intermediate zone
Diet: Small Mbuna
Sexing:Males are a pale blue, Females are a lighter blue with a yellow/orange anal fin.
Maximum Size:16cm
Temperature:</B>24-25c
pH: 7.5 to 9.0
Water Hardness: 300-400ppm
Availability:Rare in Oz
Comments:One of the larger Melanochromis, not often seen in the hobby in Australia. But one worth purchasing.

These guys have now been renamed "Kaskazini"
