"use 1 tablet/40 litres of aquarium water. predissolve tabs in disposable container of wtare before adding to tank. Repeat dose in 3 days if necessary. In cases of severe infestaation apply one tablet /20litres."
You are welcome to this container with 7 tabs if you find it hard to get, but may be of little use due to small quantity judging from above directions. pm me if you want them and we'll see what we can do.
cheers

i think the tablets or whitespot remover is the way to go. i had a UV steriliser built in in my external cannister filter, but its playing up, so its unnattached.
just to let you know, whitespot is only in my fish tank and is my growing out tank. my brothers and dads tanks are all fine and all of the fry we have for sale are all fine and free from whitespot.

so if you cichlids can handle 30-31 do that + a dose of salt 1gr/l
should get rid of that prob. very fast.

Absolutely! Up the temp to 30 / 32 and add aquarium salt at 1tbsp to 5G (10G if cats, plecs, scaleless). Maintain treatment for 7 days minimum.
Water change 30% every 2 days only replacing salt in water changed.
You need to increase your tank maintenance and / or quarantine new fish.
White spot will not occur in a well maintained tank with new fish quarantined before adding.
Fish should not die from whitespot.

but i think youll find guys white spot can live in hi temps the hi temp just speeds up the life cycle so you can kill it off it certain life cycles stages

I was always under the impression that you can only kill it in its free swimming stage. Increasing temp just speeds up the life cycle.

Ich does not like increased temperatures.
Increasing the temp also increases the fishes metabolism thus promoting healing.
Like Benckie Im fed up typing the same response almost every week - good tank hygiene and quarantining and it wont happen people. Will gladly discuss goiod tank husbandry to any one who wants to know. I have NEVER had white spot in any of my tanks.
