Even if they did they'll meet the Hawks & get embarrassed. Don't see it happening though.

September feels good doesn't it. Up until the last couple of days(WTF!!) you could smell spring in the air!!!
Geelong have timed their run beautifully again. Scotty had even the most ardent of fans doubting once again, after playing dead until about the same time last year. We beat the faves throughout last year twice (Collingwood). And this year we have done the same to Hawthorn. But unless Hawthorn lose to Collingwood on Friday and then keep winning, they can't meet us in the Grandy. The Hawks will be very difficult to beat. And the Dockers, which is hard to believe given they are a WA team, have flown under the radar. ("Nic Nat" makes the front page of "The Rag" with a handfull of freaking hailstones!!!) They have won 8 out of 9 and are leading the competition in some telling stats. Saturday night is going to be a lot closer than people think. McFarlane is a HUGE loss. Probably the best matchup in the comp for Hawkins in terms of his strength and ability to follow up. That could be the difference. Geelong have the midfield depth to cover Johnson.

My tips
Hawthorn (Just)
Geelong (Just)
Eagles (Easily and get flogged the following week in the usual disparity between home and away performances.)
Adelaide (Could get into the Grandy on two home wins and be easybeats.)

Go the Cats!!

good comments there but i think geelong will beat the living daylights outa freo!!!

hawkins is far too big and strong for any fullback in the comp... and impossible to spoil on a quick lead... hes so friggin big you cant get around him to spoil !!!!

geelong have far too much finals experience and in big games that what makes all the difference.... smile.gif

freo dont have enough discipline in the backline to withstand geelongs forward pressure.... wink.gif

dont imagine the game will be too free flowing with both teams playing spares in defence.... making it relatively low scoring game...

Can't wait to be sitting at the ground on Sunday, just wish it was a Saturday night clash, which I reckon it would have been if it wasn't for the rugby.

Cracking game tonight. Glad to see Hawks get up. Next week Collywobbles will get beaten and crash out of the finals through straight sets

friggin amazing the dockers... win the unwinable game and lose the most winable game.... 2 games this round won in the first quarter...

i turned telly on to see if dockers were playing and it was nearly quarter time geelong 1 point and freo 38 points... wtf ??? couldnt believe it... but dockers did ok to hang on and win by 16 points....

man i was hoping scarlett was going to unleash on ballantyne.... he's retiring and he must of realised the game was outa reach close to the end of the game... i woulda belted the living suitcase outa ballantyne.... whats that mr demetrio you are going to ban me for 16 matches!!! no worries!!! lol.... hes fast becoming serial pest... someones gunna cave his head in one day.... i know i would if i saw him on the street!!!

ah well freo are off to adelaide next week... and prob without pavlova!!! see how he pulls up this week!!!

You guys must be next to the SJOG corporate box. I was offered tickets but declined as I am not an Eagles supporter..............
