In Topic: Help Me With This Ethical Dilemma

The only incident I have had was when some b***h decided my car looked like a nice place to rest her trolly while she unloaded it and just let it smash against my car (carpark was on a fairly steep incline, put a tiny dent+ some scratches in my paint) and didnt realise I was walking about 30m behind her and saw the whole thing. She turned around with an "oh shit" face on when she heard my central locking unlock 10 seconds later, but tried to play it off like she had done nothing wrong and didn't apologise or anything. Next minute I am watching her hopelessly chase the trolly down the hill before it smashes into a curb sideways and catapults a trolly load full of groceries everywhere

Was it a stupid and idiotic thing to do on my part? Definately, someone else would have had to clean it all up and the shopping centre would have had to fork out another ~$100 to fix or buy a new trolly. But your a stronger man than I am if you can resist doing it lol

Well, that last week gave me more than my yearly dose of summer, now bring winter back

Was not really ideal weather for installing highbay lights into warehouses lol, I measured the air temp up there for shits and giggles and it was 56 degrees. You know its too hot when you have to carry around a 5L water bottle and you wear gloves because everything is too hot to touch barehanded haha

In Topic: 240 V Diy Not Advised

So what would the go be with DIY topics involving the use of extra low voltage power? For example, alot of LED lights only require an input of 12V DC, which could easily be supplied by a plug in power supply and would not require the user to be exposed to 240V in any way

In Topic: Dangerous Dogs Keep Killing And Mauling Kids

I recall watching some show on tv a few months ago on the day to day situations that a Ranger encounters,(it was on channel 7 or 9 I think, ironically the same station would now be sitting on their moral high horse screaming "think of the children!").

Anyway the rangers encountered some bogan lady sitting outside her house puffing away on a fag with her unlicensed pitbull with no lead or restraints on, literally across the street from a primary school with lots of little children crossing the roads and walking right past. The rangers obviously intervened and the woman was uncooperative, she ended up hiding the dog at a friends house before they could impound it. After a big stink she finally handed the dog in, (without any penalties for obstruction justice or lieing) on the condition it would have its genes tested to determine whether or not it was a purebreed. Surprise surprise, it wasn't quite a pure breed so it didn't get put into the restricted category and she was allowed to keep the dog on the condition that she had it on a proper lead, put up proper fencing and got the dog registered and then they showed a cheesy reunion of the bogan and its mut, what a heartwarming ending.

I was shaking my head in pure disbelief after watching it, if this is how useless Victorias restricted breed laws are then what point do they even serve beyond sticking a pacifier into the mouth of ACA/TT viewers?

So how is just calling for a ban going to solve anything. Its not that simple, it will either be ineffective at solving the problem, be excessively restrictive on our freedom to have certain things or most likely a mixture of both.
