I don't generally fish for them but a couple mates do, and do very well.

That's when I'm not dropping them down the rocks.

Nanys tend to be more more south.
Only occasional ones locally get caught if any at all are caught.

Was fishing in the swan today and caught a couple trumpeter, bream and got my first ever Flathead! It was 37cm so legal, but I put it back for good luck, gave a nice fight and hooked it on the fall of the cast :)!

Was fishing at my secret bream spot today and guess what I got? 2 trumpeter a mullet and a .......... 35cm blackie to the fork!! On a size 1 hook trying to catch mullet out of a big school that was there.hahaha my PB blackie to date :)!! My 1-3kg rod was bending 90 degrees hahaha, great fight! When I saw it emerge I was shaking not to loose it.hahaha. I put her/him back to fight another day and repopulate our systems :). I saw plenty of bream fry around so looks like the river is alive and well :)!

Hit one of the FADs up today, long slog out there in average weather and an even longer slog home. Water temp is still far too low at 20.5C in 175m of water.

Managed to pick up a Yellow Tailed Kingfish and a handful of Southern Blue Fin Tuna before going to the FAD.

Trolled Saturday out of Mindarie for a couple of Oriental Bonito and a couple of Yellow Finned Tuna.

The Pelagics are here, just a lot of hard work to get them.

Braved the washing machine that was the ocean yesterday and hit a PB baldy. Horse at 65cm and a bit over 5kg gutted and gilled.
