Cheers for the pics.
Nice gator gar.
It's funny I remember 2 years ago all the spotteds were always coming in and being labeled as alligator gars. Anyone who has seen both species knows the obvious difference between the two. Now telling the difference between a spotted and a florida, now thats a skill...
do you know what species the spotless knives are? I am aware that their are a couple spotless species that grow very large, ill see if i can dig up some info.

thats the one, not so small leichardti now about 21'' of attitude. the 7*3 has 4 C. monoculus , 1 albino clown knife, 1 red belly pacu , 1 polypterus endlicheri and one soon to be tiger shovelnose catfish. i've also got a 6*2*2 with the toga , 1 pink giant gourami , 1 large A. festae and a leiarius marmortus and i'm on the look out for a nice spotted gar or SA arowana.
cheers k

Sounds like you are building up quite a nice collection of fish, would love to see some pics mate.
Not a big fan of Pacu. My Pacu ended up at Aquotix, I think they have since sold them.

Eating from the surface - had the blue night light on for this pic.
The male used to tear the big girl to shreds when breeding but they got along fairly well most of the time. But loved to bash around the tank! very active for a big cat!
