Water test done on Saturday 26th (4 days ago) and the filters are getting there. Test results as follows:
pH is 7.6
Ammonia is 1.0
Nitrite is between 0.0 and 0.025
Nitrate is 5
KH is 5

So the hardness is a bit low, and I'm hoping that will improve. I did a water change that day after the water test results, and will test the water again on the weekend. I don't want any probs with a pH crash. Does anyone know if the crushed coral substrate will increase hardness? I just took a couple of happy snaps too. Got a fair bit of algae growing on the rocks in the middle pile, as well as on the inside of the front pane of glass. I think a bit of greenery looks nice.

Here I have taken a photo from the side of the tank to show the algae growing on the inside

Thanks again for looking. Any comments or suggestions are welcomed smile.gif

I took Bowdy's advice and put more rocks in today. I think it looks heaps better. Still got the goldfish in, as I can't make my mind up on what fish to get. Here are a couple of happy snaps:

thanks blade man

mike, they look different to the brichardi I've seen in the shop. well at least 2 of them do. the other 3 i got from somewhere else were sold as pulcher, but might be brichardi. I'll wait until they get a little bigger then see from there. So you may both be right! i'm no expert, as i dont know jack about tangs. i just like them

I finally got CALVUS!!!!!!! YEAH! Kinda impulse buy. Went in to Aquotix today to look at the fronties, and ended up getting 4 black pearl calvus.
Here is a video. If you can change the quality, watch it in 1080p HD resolution.

I got my 2 Calvus from Aquotix also. They are pretty awesome and I like the different look/shape of them mixing up the cichlids a bit.
