**The tank has been taken**

Hi all,

After 8 years, I am giving up the hobby. With my work and young children, I find I don't have the time or energy to maintain the tank anymore. Therefore I'd like to give it away, almost everything I have for free.

See below for descriptions (I will be as succinct as possible).

The Tank :
- 28L - 1 Footer.
- Was all in one tank but Light in hood failed so I bought an LED set of lights.
- LED comes with the tank. 3 of the LED diodes are dead, I will be keeping the power cable as it is an aftermarket adapter (like from Dick Smith / Jaycar) as the original one died. So you will need your own power adapter.
- Holds water fine but needs a clean.
- Filter material recently cleaned but cycled.
- Pump is working fine but the rack it sits on is worn and broken, but holds the pump.
- The pump intake was long broken and I have made my own with fly wire for the sake of Shrimplets.
- There 'was' a Moss Wall there but it's dead leaving the mesh there.
- Substrate is ADA Amazonia but old.

Flora & Fauna :
- Colony of Red Cherry Shrimps, unknown how many .
- Süsswassertang lots of it.
- 2 Mats of UIS Fissenden.
- Marimo Ball (its brown and likely dead from neglect).
- Algae, yet there is algae that needs to be cleaned.
- There are no snails.

Accessories :
- Water conditioner (some Prime).
- Heater in the tank.
- Other seachem water treatments.
- Hagen CO2 system with CO2 ladder + Glassware
- Foods like Hikari Lage wafers, flakes, crab cuisine.
- Ferts like Dino Pee and Spit.
- Tweezers
- Magnetic Glass Cleaners.
- many other accessories I cannot recall hoarding over the years.

Should you indicate your interest :
- We will organise a time for you to pick up from Balcatta.
- Before that desginated time I will drain half the water for easier transport.
- I will put all accessories into a black garbage bag.
- You will take it all away.

Pick up ideally over the weekend in Balcatta.

Happy to answer any questions you may have.

I know this is naughty to go off track in classifieds but I confess I hate to see people leave the hobby. Although as one that did and came back, I can fully understand the reasons. I know it's done to death but a betta (or something) tank with plastic plants would simplify that tank right down for you and give you something to watch and unwind to. I've won just about everything needed equipment wise except a new tank (grrr) at some great society meets. But can fully appreciate kids and work come first, I know it's tough finding time, etc.
