yes I can recognize them I was breeding yabbies in a tank at the same time I was catching the Cray fish so am 100 percent they were not the same. I would love to find somewhere with an established population and raid it every month but I'am limited to my local area because I don't have a license. now that I know there here thoe when I do go out catching crays ill make sure ive some identification information with me so I can get my conservation on and humanly get rid of some of these destructors. Thank you for the comments Adam you sound like you have quite an extensive knowledge on the subject

ive only ever caught gilgies and marron in our rivers down south don't think it would be worth my time searching for a random yabby.

the ones we catch in western Australia are not yabbies I don't believe in feeding native creatures out of my local area to my exotic pets plus risk of disease ect not worth it. I know yabbies are in mass production for human consumption and there not native to western aus so that's why I want to use them.
