Here are some pics of delhezi fry, they are taken with a phone so the quality isn't great. The first pic shows them newly hatched the other pics are at 10 days old.

Terry what are the hatch rates like for the delhezi eggs?

Is the mating ritual much the same as senegals?

The hatch rate is very low, 4 fish from the first batch and all are doing well 6 from the 2nd batch. Spawning is identical to the senegals.

What would you put the low hatch rate of polypterus down to Terry?

I don't know why Alex, after 2 years I'm happy that they are finally producing fry. The hatch rate should improve with each batch.

Here are some pics of the fry @ 26 days all 4 are doing well, the 2nd batch didn't survive. Sorry about the quality it's hard to get pics of such small fish.

Correct me if I'm wrong Terry, but they only have them when they are young and then they dissolve into the body and form normal gills.
