Scientific Name: Aulonocara sp. 'chitande type North'
Pronunciation: A-loo-no-car-a species chit-andy type north
Trade Name(s): Chitande Type North
Distribution: Likoma & Chizumulu Islands at Mala Point & between Hora Mhango, Mbowe Island & Nkhata Bay
Habitat: Rocky areas with caves, But at Mala Point they are rarely seen in caves, but are seen defending small pits in the sand..
Diet: Snails & other Invertebrates
Sexing: Males are blue/brown with a yellow collar, dorsal & yellow patterns on their tail fin.
Females have a silver body with barring.
Maximum Size: 13cm
Temperature: 24 to 26c
pH: 7.5 to 9.0
Water Hardness: 300-400ppm
Availability: Rarely Available in Oz.
