Scientific Name: Lethrinops sp. 'yellow collar'
Pronunciation: Leth-rin-ops species yellow collar
Trade Name(s): Yellow Collar
Distribution: Thumbi West Island, Masimbwe, Masinje, Chilelo
Habitat: Sandy & Muddy Areas at depths of up to 50mtrs.
Diet: Invertebrates.
Sexing: Males have a yellow color on the head & behind the gill cover.
Females are silver.
Maximum Size: 11cm
Temperature: 24 to 26c
pH: 7.5 to 9.0
Water Hardness: 300-400ppm
Availability: Available in Oz
Comments: An underrated Lethrinops, males show some very nice colors in breeding dress, a great addition to a peaceful display tank.
