I'm considering the stocking options for my 3footer and am wondering whether I can put a plec in there.
I would like one that has either spots or stripes for aesthetics sake.

The tank is 90cm long and 39cm wide.
I hope to establish it as a community tank, and am considering corys and loaches too so am wondering if this combination would work.

As i see it I'd be looking for a Loricariidae (Peckoltia or Spectracanthicus) that gets no bigger that 10-15cm - would that be right?

Any and all suggestions welcome.

PS still can't find any ammonia/chloride. Can anyone help so I can begin fishless cycling when my filter arrives?

I've put off posting for a while while I hit up the LFS and see what they've got...

I've acquired a 3ft tank and am about to fill it with the hope of creating a community tank.
So my first question is...Is this the best forum for community tanks in Perth? I don't seem to able to find any others so locally specific.

I've kept fish before but not for a good few years. In setting up this tank I am hoping to do a fishless cycle.
And here's my 2nd question...I can't find ammonia or ammonia chloride anywhere in Perth. Does anyone know where I can get some? Has any member bought AmmChlor before and thus has any left they will sell/let me have? I read on here that Aquotix had some but a visit there today proved unsuccessful.

I've ordered the new AquaOne Nautilus 800 cannister from the internet and am awaiting delivery (hopefully within the week). Soon as I have this I want to get going, especially knowing how long fishless cycling can take!
