Great looking set-up you have designed there Jezza.

I really like the natural look to the whole tank. What species do you have in there ?

Well done.

Jezza in regards to the pvc leaks the only problem i could see from the photo are your poly directors, which its more reliable to use a female pvc fittin and a male polly director (have had bad experiences with other way around and some unhappy customers) as for your valves im unsure to y they leaked unless it wasnt all BSP thread, normally you dont actually need thread tape it just helps as long as you do it up tight.

WOW jezza , The trim-back just makes it look fantastic.

What is HC, is it Hemianthus Callitrichoides? What are your plans for the stuff, to keep it as several islands or a full carpeted effect along the front?

and

How many watts/litre are you running ...? about 0.75 (480 watts over 650 L, is that right) ?

yup, that is HC (much easier the say and spell than the full name...) i plan to let it carpet the front section

it is a 600L tank, so about 0.8 W/l or about 3W per gallon

Time for an update
Have removed some plants and moved some around.
The HC is spreading well and is covering quite an area now.
Added more fish including: Ottos, SAE, glass catfish, rummynose tetras

here is a FTS with names of plants

I've got to admit Jez, it looks so much better in person. You put a lot of effort into this tank and it sure has paid off.
