Please explain.... biggrin.gif

Insulation wise I'm thinking the foil roll stuff with the one furry side. Or the spray on stuff that Steve Green mentioned. Need to source who does it though....

Daz

Why dont you use the coolroom panel inserts that myself & Tony have used?
They are easy to work with, around 50mm thick and work a treat, best of all they are FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE..... A coolroom place in Malaga have them and are more than happy to give them away.

Gday Az

I'll consider it, just wanted to get the other options priced up first. If I went for the foil type it wouldn't be so intrusive space wise. If I went for the spray-on it provides a decent air-seal at the same time.

Hi Evan

A big thanks to Col (Cicolid) as he came up to Perth 2 days last week to help me square up and strengthen the shed.

Now I'm sealing all the little holes and the bottom of the shed to stop rain from entering.

Next I'll be looking into electrical and insulation. The spray on foam is going to cost approx. $1500 for 50mm and $800 for 25mm. Sounds pricey but will provide a nice neat finish and air seal, still considering other options. If anyone can recommend some more companies to get quotes from it would be appreciated.

you could always go to the ice works near the intersection of welshpool rd. and leach hwy. in welshpool as they are always selling foam sheet up to about 75mm for very cheap as far as i know

Hi Brett

It has come to a stand still while I wait for my sparky friend.

I have been collecting extra tanks and stands for it though.

Will see what I can come up with pic wise.

Yes unfortunately. I'll get another one onto it rather than waiting for a mate to do it in his "spare" time wink.gif

It's been a while but this project has been ressurrected now that I have some time off work.

A BIG thanks to bradfitzy for helping me out today cheers.gif

Sliding doors have now been converted to hinged swinging doors. This will allow us to better insulate them.

Began Anticon insulation install

Yep it's coming along nicely thanks to Brad's help.

The ceiling is now fully insulated. Prior to doing this the air temp in the shed was reaching 50 degrees. It now peaks at 35 degrees. Filled up 2x 540 litre tanks Monday evening. Water temp has peaked at 27 degrees. Lowest temp was 24 degrees. Not bad hey!

Will still insulate the walls to try and keep the heat in during the cooler months.

Dougo, I'll give you a buzz soon about your PC. Electricity to the shed is now a priority.
