Hey mate,

The tanks would be filtered, hes just done a great job of hiding the filter hoses :0

Cheers,
Brett

They sure are, the hoses are behind the backgrounds which Steve made himself.

I was there today and I can honestly say, the tanks and fish look so much more amazing in the flesh!

yeah Gibbs they are filtered , both tanks run a custom made "under gravel jet" system made from pvc , this is instead of a spray bar , because they are 2 1/2 deep i was worried about dead spots. the jet systems are run by eheim 2228's and the large tank has a 2228 with spray bar and the small tank has a 2217 spray bar set up.

all intakes , jets , spray bars and heaters are hiden behind my hand built "side grounds"

Cheers

Geez that was well done, i had a close look at pics again and noticed the bubbles in top left corner of smaller tank, if you didn't point out how it is filtered i would never have known goodjob.gif

You can see the amount of thought that's gone into these tanks - well done Steve, looks great.

and thanks for taking us through the progress - it's useful to see how it's all come together.

My only criticism is that you went to all the effort of hiding heaters, filters etc., made the tank look as natural as possible, and then put bloody floaties in the tank tongue.gif
