My dads cobalts are breeding like crazy but we aren't trying to breed them! But then when I try to breed ngara's they only breed a little bit LOL so unpredictable

Don't focus so much on trying to breed your fish. Just focus on keeping your fish happy (good water, good food etc.) if you have happy fish they will reward you with breeding:) i find that the less you mess around with them the more they will breed!
