What is the reccomended ammount of peacock bass for a 2000L pond? And what are some good tank mates? Prefer nothing over $250. I was thinking 3-4 bass with a gold spot pleco, would it be possible to add anything on top of that?
Cheers

I love oscars and Petenia splendida but was just unsure if they would be ok with peacock bass.
My list:
3x Peacock Bass
2x Oscars
2x bay snook
1x Geophagus Brasiliensis
1x green terror
2x Jaguar cichlids
1x Gold spot Pleco
Do you think this is overstocked and too aggressive?
Cheers

Would a sump be a better option?

sump is one of the best and most effective went set up properly.
go a pool (sand) filter maybe if its outdoors, read some ppl do this on large monster tanks and works quite well.

My 1600ltr tank has a 4800l/h pump/sump at the moment.
Previously I ran a 3200l/h pond filter.
Both are cheap and reliable options.

As for heating, I think I might get one or 2 500W heaters and get a cover to keep the heat in.
I might just keep Geophagus because of them being ok in Cold temperatures.
What is the minimum temperature for Peacock bass before it becomes detrimental to their health?
