There will always be underground.......... i own mainly americans, they can try take them at their own perril as i will be putting up one hell of a fight if they try to take em.
And besides if a fisheries authority rocked up at my door i would be very surprised if he knew the differance between a convict and a butterkofri lol

is the fisheries authority looking at all these forums? i don't know why they are banning the fish, its not the fishes choice it's the choice the owner made,

I hope they are, chances are there are members who are employees of the FD (on offence intended in my first post)
They are trying to make a noxious list, do a search on here plenty of info, basically because there are idiots our there that are idiots...... Period.

yeah its just the retards that dont have any sort of thought process of what happens when dumping a fish in a water way they are the ones that wreck it for everybody else

if you want something that is super aggressive get yourself a sooty grunter i have one thats about 40cms he has killed a 40cm mangrove jack and about 15 huge male red devils also a 2ft long giant gourami and he is that smart taken half the tail off a 80cm red tail catfish but he has that much character i will never get rid of him cheers

What about a freshwater longtom, grows to 80 cm and they are as mean as!
You would need a big tank for it to turn around but it is something different.

Any idea where I could source a list of what they're trying to declare Noxious? I (sammi) also keep mostly Americans, and I'm really very concerned about the proposed additions. As I'm sure everyone here is. I was wondering if anyone knew where the "purple list" could be found? I found a list, but it's quite out of date - the grey list.
If anyone could help, it'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys.
