Hello Surreptitious marine lovers ,
I know you all have been clamoring to see my latest tank, an Xmas present from my wife.
A 34L Nano Marine Ocean Free tank with inbuilt sump, mini protein skimmer. It pumps 440L/hr using a Aqua One pump and for the winter I have a 25w Aqua One heater which I might upgrade if it can't handle the heat.
Currently I do not have a chiller running but next summer I will need to get one as I will have a bigger bio load in the tank.
The Tank:
I am loving how the setup is so neat and clean
Filled up, with first pieces of live rock:
I started very slow, and only added a bit of rock
7 weeks later:
At about 4weeks I bought a clean up crew (3 snails and a short spined sea-urchin)
Coral Close-Up:
I also added coral after 4 weeks of cycling. Interestingly I never knew that all the coral is loose and you kind of balance it on the rocks.
I plan to stock up on coral as I want the tank to be covered in it. I also need to get a XL Sea Anemone for the Clownfish.
Shrimp:
Here is the first member of the tank. I also plan to get 2x Clownfish, 1x Humbug Damsel, 1x Goby (or a sand sifter) and maybe another shrimp or two.
All the fish will be super small and I will have to do regular WC depending on the bio-load.
So there you go.
More photos to come, but I will collect a few first, like I did with this post.
Regards,
MrLeifBeaver
