Did you increase the temp to 30C??

Cranking the temp up to 30C is the right way to get rid of whitespot, but no one here has again mentioned the vital fact that when you increase the temp that you will reduce the waters ability to hold oxygen so you must employ good airation!! a few airstones will do the trick, also the meds you've used would also likely make the water hold less oxygen, Id say its probably part of the reason why your fish have died, but to get this problem in the first place Id say you water is not right.

White spot is pretty much present in all water bodies and attacks fish when they are under stress. Medications are uneccessary to get rid of white spot, providing your fish are reasonably healthy to start with, your water parameters are good and you increase the temp to 30-32C with good airation, the adult cysts will eventually burst and the hot water will kill the spores eliminating it within a few days.

Also your mix of fish is terrible, pbass prefer soft acidic water and your red empress prefer hard alkaline water, these fish shouldnt be mixed.

anyway good luck.

Cheers

the Doc , Tony and Den have given good advice
by the sounds of things you have limited tanks and an addictive need for species that
would never see each other outside the hobby
buy some test kits and know your water because once you have that right the rest falls
nto place

Aquasonic Ichaway is safe with scaleless species ...... I don't know about other brands
Ich spores are a constant and the stress levels of the fish dictate the ability of the immune
system to function against disease and parasites

you can only kill the Ich in it's free swimming stage which is why you need to crank the temp
up 28-30 deg for it to cycle
you need to increase airation and check water parameters incase there is an effect in pH swing
or filter bacteria while medicating
you need to run 2 courses of the treatment to make sure you have taken out all the Ich

they say knowledge = $$$ but it depends if you learn anything from it along the way
