Great tank and some great fish. Wish I had the room for a tank that size.

Cheers Scott.

I'm lucky to be blessed with an awesome landlord, long lease and a nice shed out back!

Planning on building a bigger one for more beasts I'm growing in my 6x2 display in my room.

Cheers mate. I'm just lucky as far as having a good landlord/long term rent/shed.

My 6x2 in my room has a pair of P Bass and a Ray pup in it. No fishing in there though thanks haha

Think it's pretty well stocked now. Everything putting on nice size. Time for a bigger tank. Plan to have an 8x4x2.5 acrylic up and running by December.

Quick video of the current occupants. Can't get my YouTube to work. So here's a link.

video is great :-) great job!!
is your jardini aggressive toward your other tank mates? have been doing some
reading on them and says they should be on their own.

Thanks Stacey.

I have had the Jardini since it was very small and it has grow up around smaller fish. As long as they are fed well I haven't had any problems. A few small biffs here and there, but everyone works out where their ranked in no time and peace is restored.

I'm sure there are Jardinis who have just been kept in there own tank all their lives and wouldn't be use to other fish in their presence. I have no doubt they would have a crack at any fish that was put in the tank.

I'm insure what pic/video you were referring to? The only Oscar that was in there was from Vebas. He wasn't that big. Only about 18cm.

In the first video, sorry just from the angle it looked really big.

Okay no worries mate. That one got passed onto someone after it got thrashed by the Jardini.

Here is an update of what's in there now. Dazza took a few off my hands the other day. Since the video I have put back in the big male red Snook and Male Dovii. I have separated the females in another tank.

Looks good. Have you noticed a difference in maintenance since removing the substrate?

What is the ratio on the Monocs?

Yeah Alex I definately have noticed a difference. Especially now getting the power head/sponge in the correct position. Along with upgrading mechanical and biological filtration and increased water volume. Very low maintaince now. Water stays pristine until water change Sunday's. I also wash out the filter wool and jap matt catchment then as well.

Yeah, a lot more confident for when I go over east now!

Cheers Anka, I like watching them as well. Seeing some other people would be great to. Seen a fair few in person now. But it's all a bit hush hush now isn't it....

I find people with rare/exotics over here in W.A like to keep it to them selves, or close friends. I can understand with the way the laws are going here... It sucks in a way, but it is also a good feeling finding/getting connected to people with fish that you want to keep.

I just hope the laws don't get anymore drastic. Some of the fish on the "noxious list" would have no chance adapting to our water conditions/climates. But yet the most common sold fish "gold fish/koi etc" can survive in nearly any condition and will feed on nearly anything.

Yeh fair enough - is there any hint that any of the species you keep may become noxious?
