The thing i've found with beach fishing is that its hit and miss in the metro areas, maybe others have had better luck then me but all i've caught is herring at the south mole

but thats the thing with fishing from my experience, everytime you go its a gamble 

Are you  experienced with fishing michael? I find the north mole to be quick uncomfortable and quite dangerous to manoeuvre around.  South moles is alot easier to access and safer imo

Theres a beach just north of north mole that i usually go to but havent caught anything decent but seen some people catch a stinray and talior 

I would start off with beach fishing then move onto the rocks

I've never caught a shark of mulloway but i've heard live bait works well

worst thing is to fish shoulder to shoulder, chances are the other guy will get his line tangled up in yours and trying to untangle a line while the wind is blowing 30km/hr in the dark with limited light is not the easiest, unless u cut the line but sometimes they use braid and its expensive 

 

 

and above all... don't let any of these old bastards tell you that their are no fish left!

if you do catch them from the swan, make sure you bring a measuring tape, I believe the min size is 25cm
