Lights For Tank

I know this gets asked over and over again, but here goes.

I'm looking for a good light for my cichlid tank, i have some plants but arn't concerned about them, i just really want the fish to look great.

I've tried the tropical Aqua One light and a standard fluro's (it looks to yellow).
What else is good..

Aqua One Sunlight ?

Its only a single 40w batten at the moment. i'm building a new lid for the top which will have better lighting in it..

Tank is 1000x45x35 approx 150L

Wondering how hard it would be to get taptalk added to the forum so users on Android and Iphone could use an app to look at the forum.

Data Logging Thermostats

Does anyone have or know where I can get a thermostat that can log a 24 hour period.

Heater Issues

Hi There,
I have a 150L tank, 1000x400x500 approx.
And have a Aqua One 150W heater. it is along one wall at the end.

I have already exchanged one as it would not heat unless set to 28c.
but once again i have to set this one to 28c for it to heat the tank to 25c.
Its on the output flow side of my canister filter.

I just bought a power head pump and am considering running that past the heater, A good idea or not?

Should i upgrade to a larger 200w heater, or run two 150w..

or any other ideas to narrow down the issue..

Hi There,
New to the site have seen some great info on here the last few days.
Just got back into having an aquarium after almost 5 years.

i have a 150L tank, with mainly South African Cichlids. i'll update later on specific breeds but they are pretty common ones.
I have a few issues I’d like help in but will post in relevant areas.
